Do you long to more readily run to the Lord and turn toward truth, faith, and repentance throughout your day?
Lament is a wonderful way to commune with the Father, remember truth, and walk by faith.
It's something I hang onto every day, even in seasons of joy.
Why would I lament during a joyful season?
I believe lament isn’t only for seasons of grief, but it’s for every day. We come face to face with sin, unbelief, and distrust in our own lives as well as in the lives of others every day. That is a great reason to lament, to call out to God for help about the brokenness in ourselves and in the people and world around us. There are plenty of opportunities to lament every day.

“Let us then approach God’s throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need.” -Hebrews 4:16

Theme: "Lord, I believe; help my unbelief." – Mark 9:24
"O Good Shepherd, I call out to you.
I believe, but my heart feels full of doubt and unbelief today.
I find myself behaving as if I don’t believe you are the Good Shepherd who provides for and guides His children.
My feelings tell me there is something wrong. I'm focused on myself and my circumstances rather than you and the truth. I'm letting my circumstances tell my heart how to feel rather than the voice of the Good Shepherd, my Heavenly Father, my Wonderful Counselor.
Give me eyes to see the truth again. Please give me the strength to look above the dark clouds to the Son. Restore to me the joy of Your salvation. Renew my mind and anchor me in truth.
Jesus, I know you are my righteousness. I’m not condemned for my doubt. Though I am often unfaithful, you are perfectly faithful. I must look not to my own grip on you, but your grip on me. I will walk forward believing and trusting what I know, even when I can’t feel it.
“Yet I will trust in the Lord, for He has dealt bountifully with me.” (-Psalm 13:5–6)
He is my Good Shepherd.
Have you ever combined walking with lamenting?
